Join Our Team

Join a team of volunteers to travel overseas and touch people in great need. You can help bring health and hope to a place that has seen more then its share of disease and despair. We invite physicians, physical therapist, occupational therapist, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, teachers, translators, social workers, youth workers, support personnel, and those with experience in farming, and construction work to participate in our trips to Haiti. But you don’t need to be a professional to contribute – there is much work to be done and always a way to be of help.

Together, We Can Make a Difference. One Precious Life at a Time.

How Can You Get Involved?

There are Two Ways to Participate in a VVHF Team:

1. - You can become a VVHF Team leader by putting together a team of people from your church and/or community. (Max. 10)

2. - You can join a VVHF Team as an individual member on a scheduled trip with an existing team. VVHF will match you with a team where your professional skills will make a meaningful difference.

What Will My Team Do?

VVHF will work with you to select the project best suited for you or your group’s skills, resources, and time line.

Just a few ways to help:

  • Educational Seminars
  • Medical/Dental Clinics
  • Skills Training
  • Construction Projects
  • Professional Workshops
  • Staff Support
  • Capacity Building

Leo Club

For the wonderful moments we shared on that day, The “Leo Club d’Haiti Perle des Antilles” would like to give a warm felt thank you to Lamardelle and Double Harvest. We hope to be able to visit Lamardelle again soon and all the wonderful people who make it the warm, beautiful and magical place it is. Lamardelle, you have forever touched our hearts and showed us, by what you have accomplished, that hope and change for our country is possible. We hope to follow your footsteps and also make a difference in Haiti, our country, who will earn once more the nickname: “the pearl of the islands”.

Haiti is both beautiful and daunting...the pulse of a people striving towards life felt so strongly, especially in all the teachers, nurses and staff that I met. The children too, all 400 plus students at the school and the 100 plus children in the orphanage all reaching towards life and knowledge and affection.  I definitely plan on going again!  Dancing is allowed! Feel that pulse!
